Cost effective and, simply, the best…

Medic Malawi was voted Best Value Charity in a poll at the Birmingham Pop Festival this summer, when festival goers were given various bits of information about competing charities and asked to vote on the Best Value for their gifts, both in terms of costs and effectiveness.

For us of course, the costs are virtually zero – no UK salaries or expenses – just the inevitable, small, payments to Just Giving for their services, and Barclays Bank for international transfers.

I don’t hassle anyone by post or phone, and I don’t buy or sell your details (I wouldn’t know how to, actually), writes Stephen Drew.

But effectiveness is vital too – your gifts go straight to those who need them, for specific, continuing projects, building the area from the bottom up, with benefits trickling out to a huge number of people – the catchment of the hospital is now listed as 800,000!

Thank you for your support to the Best Value Charity 2015, which recently include David and Emma jumping from an aircraft, Dom Stanford and his family cycling across the Pyrenees and Richard Leslie cycling coast to coast.
