Harries family’s £800 in memory of dad, Keith

We’ll be looking to raise more money for Mtunthama from sponsorship in the Three Peaks Walk in September, but here’s a touching story of a family who have already found inspiration in the memory of a loved one to walk and support Medic Malawi at the same time.

Laura Harries takes up the story:

Last May we organised a charity walk for Medic Malawi along the Ridgeway near Swindon on behalf of our Dad, Keith Harries. Our Dad loved life and was a very keen traveller but the thing he enjoyed most was long walks in the English countryside. In 2007 he sadly passed away whilst visiting Malawi. The people of Malawi were really helpful and considerate during this difficult time and they inspired us to find a way to raise money for the local hospitals. This is when we found out about Medic Malawi.

We managed to raise just over £800, which is amazing! We would like to thank all our family and friends for their love and support.
